The Grounded Kid is an afterschool enrichment program that uses gardening, nature, mindfulness, and hands-on learning to help elementary students connect with the world around them — and each other!
Students experience hands-on learning through gardening, mindfulness, nutrition, and environmental stewardship.
We plant, water, and care for our garden beds and watch things grow!
We slow down, breathe, move our bodies, and connect with nature.
We taste fresh, seasonal foods and learn where our food comes from.
We use our senses to observe, ask questions, and make discoveries.
We learn how to care for our Earth and become environmental stewards.
Our outdoor classroom brings lessons to life through inquiry-based and experiential learning that supports healthy minds, healthy bodies, and a lifelong love of nature.
